The use of alea is limited to the intended purpose, limitations of use and care settings described in these Instructions for Use and requires the use of the approved system components.
Within its intended purpose, alea supports the following medical functions:

Displaying the fill level of compatible absorbent continence products,

Displaying the body position and the duration of the respective position,

Providing status indicators and notifications when predefined fill level criteria are reached, and
-
Providing reminders when repositioning intervals defined by care professionals have been reached.
In addition, alea may provide non-medical notification functions, including:

Notifications of unusual movement or position events, and
-
Notifications when a care recipient leaves a defined care area.
The use of the system requires that:

all system components are properly installed and operational,
-
only approved hardware, accessories and compatible continence products are used,
-
mobile devices, desktop computers and web browsers meet the approved system requirements,
-
the required network and power supply are available, and
-
the professional assessment, decision-making and provision of care always remain the responsibility of the responsible care professionals.
The system may only be used within its intended purpose and the limitations of use defined in these Instructions for Use.
