Dear Care Professionals,
Dear Care Supervisors,
Thank you for choosing alea.
Before you begin using the system, this section provides the most important information about the use of alea and an overview of the functions of the digital care assistance system.
What is alea?
alea is a digital care assistance system.
The system provides information, status indicators, notifications and reminders. These support care professionals in organizing, planning and prioritizing continence care and the repositioning of care recipients.
To achieve this purpose, alea provides the following functions in particular:
-
Displaying the fill level of compatible absorbent continence products,
-
Displaying the body position and the duration of the respective position,
-
Notifications when predefined fill level criteria are reached, and
-
Reminders when repositioning intervals defined by care professionals have been reached.
alea neither replaces professional nursing care nor established care processes.
The professional assessment, decision-making and implementation of care always remain the responsibility of the responsible care professionals.
alea neither assesses the individual risk of disease or injury nor diagnoses medical conditions.
In medically critical or life-threatening situations, any necessary immediate measures must not be replaced by alea.
Before you get started, please read the first chapter
